Family Fellowships

STARNET provides fellowship reimbursment funds for family members to attend inservice opportunities in the State of Illinois. If your child has an IEP and is enrolled in, or will transition into early childhood special education services in STARNET Regions I or III, you are eligible. Funds may be used for workshop registration, travel expenses/mileage, lodging, or childcare costs. Fellowship awards are not, in anyway based on your income. Limited funds are availble for individual requests of up to $125 per award. Individuals may apply for no more than two fellowships in the grant year 7/1/07 - 6/30/08. Fellowships are limited to two per individual, not two per family.

Application forms must be submited at least two weeks prior to the event for which you are seeking funding. Awards are based on available STARNET funds and are approved at the discretion of the STARNET Staff. The STARNET grant is funded through the Illinois State Board of Education.
